1 down, 12 to go...

Just got home from Casi's Kindergarten graduation. I was told by my friend Roxanne that I would cry...NAAHhh. The whole thing was a silly idea. Get some photo ops with cap and gown, cute program, and were done. So they come out and stand in place and I see my little girl. Standing proud and confident. Much different than the girl who at the beginning of the year was begging me to keep her home. She smiled at me and waved and....the waterworks started. I was a sniff away from the ugly cry. You know, the one that makes you look like your related to the pug family. But I contained myself. Got great pics, and I enjoyed every minute of the program. Our first year of kindergarten has come to an end and now we have 12 more to go. I don't want to blink...It will be here before I know it.

Walmart coupon issues...

A few days ago, I went to my local Wal-mart, with my coupons and comp. ad's in hand. When I went to the check-out, I was told that WM does not honor the BOGO free deals from their competitors or coupons. When I asked for the CS manager, she agreed and said that they could not honor the coupon or the ad.

WELL! That info is BOGUS!!!

I went to the WM site and got their coupon policy. I intend on carrying with me in my coupon book to plead my case next time...
Couponers may want to do the same, since some employees are not informed of their own policies!

Wal-Mart Coupon Policy

Wal-Mart accepts the following types of coupons (see guidelines below):

  • Manufacturer coupons (Cents Off)
  • Free merchandise (or manufacturer's Buy-One-Get-One-Free) coupons
  • Store coupons
  • Pharmacy (Advertising and Promotional) coupons
  • Internet coupons
  • Soft drink container caps

The following are guidelines and limits:

  • Wal-Mart only accepts coupons for merchandise we sell and only when presented at the time of purchase.
  • Coupons should have an expiration date and be presented within the valid dates. Wal-Mart will not accept expired coupons.
  • Internet coupons should be legible and say "Manufacturer Coupon." There should be a valid remit address for the manufacturer and a scannable bar code.
  • Only one coupon per item is permitted.
  • Use of 40 or more coupons per transaction will require approval by Customer Service Manager.

Mi Madre

I wanted to post a pic of my mom on Mother's day, but I couldn't find my favorite picture. I don't have very many pictures of my mom, because she never thought she was pretty enough for pictures. She was also the only one taking them. Anyway, Cambria was going through my old pics and found my favorite picture. I was thrilled! Good job Cam!
If I had known I was going to lose my mom so early in life, I would have made sure she was in more pictures. With that said, please make a conscience effort to get from behind the camera and get where the action is! I too, am guilty of always avoiding picture time, but I am trying to do better.
This is me and my mom when I was about 5 years old. I look kind of like I'm scared to death, but I love the calmness in my mom's face, like all was good at that moment because she was holding her little girl. If I remember right, we had just gotten back from shopping and my mom was sitting on the floor, resting. I just went up and plopped on her lap!!! Ahh the memories...If only they can translate into more photos.

Weekend? What weekend...or Whatta weekend : )

Even with all the rain that we thought would never stop, I still wouldn't trade all this weather for anything!!!! We spent this weekend with great friends, the great outdoors, and celebrating great family members! First we went to the girls program at their school. They did a fabulous job. My camera died, but I manage to get 2 pictures...one of each of them. Then we met the Krintz's at Coldstone Creamery...can you say YUUUUmMMMM? Then went back to their home and hung out some more. We must be getting old. We called it a night at 11PM! We usually make it a 3AM nighter when we hang out with these guys.
The next morning, we made a trip to Brown County. It was breathtaking. I love going in the Fall, but there is nothing like seeing new life in bloom. The Rose of Sharons were at their best. We went down for their Mushroom Fest. Ill post another blog and pics about our adventure. And then on Sunday, we had service as usual, and then we had a pie auction. I submitted a Angel Lush Cake, and donated Brocolli and Cheddar soup to the even that I believe raise over $1500 for the youth's Missions trip to Cali. I have no idea how much mine went for, but Im glad I could help.
Went home after church to do a going away and happy bday party for my niece Bethany. She is taking language school in Costa Rica and is going back for a second term. She was making plans to become a missionary in DR, but she feels God is keeping her in Costa Rica for the time. She will be a "mediator"between the Americans who come and the "Ricans" to get them better associated with their customs. She will do a wonderful job, but we miss her.
The kids later that night had Awana awards. They both love going, but when they have the break during the summer, it is soo welcomed. Knowing we can stay home in the evenings to relax or work on projects...say scrapping, is what im looking forward to.
Well as you can see, we were busy, which is why my house looks like a pit. Ill post tomorrow pictures and more on our trip to BC.
Happy Monday!!!
